About

Ryan grew up in the Anoka-Hennepin district and has deep ties to Spring Lake Park, Blaine, and Fridley. Ryan and his wife have two young kids nearing school age. He hopes to build strong schools for his kids and every kid in the community. He is very involved in a local church, including teaching Sunday School classes.

"We should all be more involved in our local communities. City Councils, School Boards, etc., all have more impact on our lives than any national politics."

Ryan McLaughlin

As cliché as it sounds, reading, writing, and math are critical to students' success both in and out of school.

For students to learn, they need to feel safe and welcome in their schools. Teachers also need to feel safe so they can focus on what they love: educating kids.

Students succeed when parents are involved and informed about schools. A strong partnership between teachers, schools, and parents helps everyone thrive.
